Laminated Beams are superior in all strength characteristics to solid sawn lumber; they resist checking and twisting because of the use of multiple plies of kiln dried lumber, bonded together with waterproof phenol-resorcinol adhesive.
Rigidply Rafters Inc., has been manufacturing glue laminated products since 1954. We are confident that with our efficient manufacturing plant, engineering and sales personnel, we can ensure you a dimensionally stable and dependable product. The Rigidply Rafters Inc. Quality Control Laboratory performs daily tests on the glue joints for strength and durability. Our quality control system is approved and monitored by the American Institute of Timber Construction.
Our beams are available in Southern Yellow Pine, treated Southern Yellow Pine (0.6 pcf CCA) Douglas Fir, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, and Port Orford.
In the final phase of the manufacturing process the beams can be cut, drilled, stained, and sealed to your specification. A protective wrapping can be applied to maintain the beauty and quality of the beams during delivery and installation.
